English Alive Launch 2019

The launch of English Alive 2019 will take place as part of the Open Book Festival in Cape Town. The annual book festival sees hundred of readers, authors from around the world and prominent publishers converge to celebrate literature.

The 2019 edition of English Alive is edited by Twanji Kalula and features writing from learners at high schools and colleges around South Africa.

In addition to readings by some of the learners,¬†Ming-Cheau Lin, the acclaimed author of ‘Just Add Rice’ and ‘Yellow and Confused’, will deliver a keynote address.

Please join us for the launch of English Alive 2019, edited by Twanji Kalula. The launch will take place as part of the Open Book Festival and feature readings by students.
