PEN South Africa’s Nick Mulgrew recently interviewed English Alive‘s very own Robin Malan.
2018 marks Robin’s final year as the editor of English Alive. In 1967 Robin became one of English Alive’s founding assistant editors. He recently received an honorary award from the Western Cape branch of the SACEE for dedicating over 50 years to the project.
In this insightful interview, Robin reflects on 52 years of English Alive, the evolution of South Africa, and his work as an anthologist, playwright, novelist, humourist, sex educator, publisher and editor.
